The Human Design education consists of a structured sequence of courses that build
upon each other, providing a comprehensive understanding of the system. The courses are categorized into Foundational and Professional Training levels, each offering specific knowledge and skills for individuals at various stages of their learning journey.

The Human Design America Educational Program offers a structured path to progressively deepen your understanding and expertise in the system. It empowers individuals not only to apply Human Design principles in their own lives but also to become Professionals who help others to unlock their unique potential.

Foundation Courses

Below is a full list of our Foundation courses.

This introductory course offers an overview of the Human Design System. It covers the nine Centers, the four Types and their Strategies, as well as Personal Authority – “Inner or Outer Authority.” This course guides you in understanding your individual process of integrating Human Design principles into your daily life.

This second level course delves deeper into conscious and unconscious activations, exploring the Personality and Design aspects. It also covers the Hexagram Structure, including line values and frequencies, and introduces the concept of Circuitry within the Human Design chart. Students take their first steps in keynoting the Human Design chart in this class and share their work.

This course takes you through the Bodygraph, mapping the flow of energy through the Centers and the 36 channels that can define them. It also addresses Types in the context of channels and Profiles. Rave Cartography provides a comprehensive understanding of the interplay of various elements within the chart. Students further their ability to speak clearly about their charts and share their work.

Pre-requisites: Foundation Reading, Living Your Design, Rave ABCs

Note: These courses can be taken “for your own edification” or for credit towards professional training.

Living Your Design Guide Training

For those interested in becoming a certified Living Your Design Guide, this teacher training course equips you with the skills to guide others through the Living Your Design process. Pre-requisites include completing Rave Cartography and the earlier prerequisite courses in the foundation year training. Graduates are qualified to teach the Living Your Design Course as well as to guide individuals through consultations and support.

The LYDG training is not required of students who want to progress directly into the Analyst Training Program.


Pre-Requisites: Foundation Reading, Living Your Design, Rave ABC, Rave Cartography
Required Materials: Rave I’Ching, Line Companion, Circuitry

Professional Analyst Training

Participation in the Professional Training Courses require completion of the Foundation Year Program,
Living Your Design, Rave ABCs and Rave Cartography, and each of the previous courses in the Professional Training before progressing to the next level.

This advanced course covers the 64 Gates, the 384 Lines of the Rave I’Ching, Keynoting, the Four Views, and BodyGraph analysis and synthesis within a reading format. It is designed to equip you with the skills to analyze charts in-depth, providing deep insights into individual designs.

Pre-Requisites: Foundation Reading, Living Your Design, Rave ABC, Rave Cartography
Required Materials: Rave I’Ching, Line Companion, Circuitry

PTL2 Semester 1: In this level, you’ll explore Connection charts. The focus is on developing proficiency in analyzing relationships and the various elements of combined charts to give insights for communication and how to appreciate and grow in strength and happiness through diversity.

Pre-Requisites: Professional Training Level I
Required Materials: Partnership Analysis, Life Cycles Analysis

In this level, you’ll explore how biographies unfold through the phases of life and uncover insights about the specific characteristics of the life path that people travel. We study transits past and future plus three major charts: the Saturn Return, the Uranus Opposition and the Chiron Return.

Pre-Requisites: Professional Training Level I
Required Materials: Partnership Analysis, Life Cycles Analysis

This course covers Incarnation Crosses and teaches how to incorporate them into readings using keynoting techniques. It provides a deeper understanding of the profound implications of Incarnation Crosses and what they say about a person’s reason for living.

Pre-Requisites: Professional Training Level I

This is the final level of undergraduate professional training, which guides you to compose a well-organized and clear presentation for your certification exam. This is a very rigorous course which requires a lot of work, but is surprisingly fulfilling. What you learn in your preparation for the exam provides an extraordinary foundation for your whole career as a Human Design Analyst and on-going Consultant.
